Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

Senate Holds Hearing on CEDAW

Thanks to the efforts of HSLDA’s members and friends, we are confident that for now a dangerous UN treaty will not be acted upon by the U.S. Senate.

Most evil organization in the world?

Unfortunately there's a lot of competition in this arena, but Planned Parenthood is certainly in the running.

I wonder how many parents actually want their kids to be exposed to this kind of stuff.

This is not a perversion

see also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkGQmCZjJ0k

But there are many Muslims who would say, "I believe in Islam, but I don't subscribe to Jihad." In their minds, extremists are perverting Islam. So that's not the real question if the question is, "who are we fighting?", or better, "who is fighting us?".

Sara Palin and the Tea Party

A place grandpa would like to have a family reunion

Spend the night in a secluded stone lodge built in the 1930's. Originally a private mansion, the impressive 8,000 square foot facility is nestled in the peaceful woods of the Blue Ridge Mountains; and only 150 yards from the Appalachian Trail.

Bears Den is comfortable and simple. The lodge is a clean place to sleep, eat, shower, and relax. There is no television or radio. Find solitude on the grounds or meet interesting travelers. Listen to stories from backpackers in off the trail. Bring food to prepare your favorite meal. The kitchen is fully equipped with every piece of cook- and dining ware you'll need. Eat in the stone dining room and then sit in the large living room. Read a book by the fireplace or play games around the coffee table.

Bears Den sleeps up to 26 people. Men and women sleep in separate rooms. One dorm room has 12 bunk beds, a shower room, and a separate sink/toilet room. The other dorm has 8 bunk beds and one full bathroom. The private room has a double bed and 4 bunk beds for a maximum capacity of 6 people. A private full bathroom is attached to the bedroom. Linens for sleeping and bathing are provided.
