QuestionHow can I transfer favorites from one nuvi to another nuvi?
Answer:
If you would like to transfer waypoints from one nuvi device to another nuvi device, please follow the instructions below:
  1. Connect your original device to your PC via USB cable
  2. Open My Computer (Mac users can skip this step)
  3. Right-Click on the Garmin Nuvi drive and select Open (Mac users can find the Garmin Nuvi drive on the Desktop)
  4. Double click on the Garmin Folder
  5. Double click the GPX Folder
  6. Right-Click on the Current.GPX file and click Copy
  7. Go to your Desktop
  8. Right-Click in any space followed by clicking Paste
  9. Right-Click the file followed by clicking Rename
  10. Rename the file to a name of your choice but ensure the file ends in .GPX. (Example Current1.GPX)
  11. Disconnect your device from the PC
  12. Connect your second device to a PC via USB cable
  13. Right-Click the renamed file followed by clicking Copy
  14. Open My Computer (Mac users can skip this step)
  15. Right-Click on the Garmin Nuvi drive and select Open (Mac users can find the Garmin Nuvi drive on the Desktop)
  16. Double click on the Garmin Folder
  17. Double click the GPX Folder
  18. Right-Click in any space followed by clicking Paste
Once done your favorites / waypoints should have transferred from one device to the other.
